SAMONE JACKSON, Puget Sound

Sophomore, Point Guard, Edmonds, Wash. / Edmonds Woodway HS

 

Jackson averaged 20.0 point a game as the No. 18/19 Loggers won twice and took sole possession of first place in the conference.   She scored 18 points in a 78-71 win at Whitworth, sinking 7-15 from the field (2-7 three-pointers) and 2-2 from the line, with 3 steals, 2 assists and a rebound.  She netted 22 points in a 73-71 overtime win at No. 14/16 Whitman, handing the Blues their first loss of the season.  She hit 7-16 field goals (4-10 on threes) and 4-4 free throws, with 5 rebounds, an assist and a steal.  She averaged 39 minutes per game and shot .452 (14-31) from the floor and 1.000 (6-6) from the line during the sweep.
