Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week – Jan. 16-22, 2017

 

MARA SELZNICK, Whitman

Freshman, Park City, Utah / Park City HS

 

Selznick won all six of her races over the weekend – two individual events and four relays – to earn NWC honors for the second time.  Included was a season-best time of 58.97 in the 100 backstroke in leading off the winning 400 medley relay (4:04.35) at Pacific Lutheran.  She also won the 200 backstroke (2:11.51) and led off the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:42.29) at PLU.  On Friday at Puget Sound, she won the 100 backstroke (59.90), and led off for the winning 200 medley relay (1:52.31) and 200 freestyle relay (1:41.55).
