Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week – Nov. 28-Dec. 4, 2016

 

KASSIE KOMETANI, Lewis & Clark

Sophomore, Hawi, Hawaii / Kohala HS

 

Kometani grabbed three wins and was part of two school-record breaking teams in the 800 freestyle (7:53.04) and 200 medley relays (1:49.70) at the Logger Invitational.  She posted a season-best time in the 100 freestyle prelims (53.84), going on to win the event, and won the 50 freestyle in 24.44.  She also won with the 800 free relay and was second with 200 medley relay.  She swam in four other events, placing fifth in the 400 freestyle relay (3:43.18), sixth in the 400 medley relay (4:07.78), seventh in the 200 freestyle (2:02.5), and eighth in the 100 butterfly (1:01.32).
