points and adding 20 rebounds, six assists and five steals. She posted
her 13th double-double on Saturday. Feb. 14NWC Player of the Week: Kim Leith (George Fox, Jr., W, Sherwood,
Ore.) led the Bruins to a pair of victories by scoring 48 points and adding
15 rebounds, seven steals and six assists. Feb. 7NWC Player of the Week: Kim Leith (George Fox, Jr., W, Sherwood,
Ore.) had a career weekend for the Bruins. She scored 48 points, including
a career high 33 on Friday night, and added seven rebounds and seven assists
in two games. Jan. 31NWC Player of the Week: Sarah Shogren (Whitworth, Sr., F, Newman
Lake, Wash.) scored 30 of her 44 points and grabbed 13 of her 21 rebounds
in the second half of each game, leading the Pirates to comeback victories
over Whitman (down 8 at halftime) and Willamette (down 13 at half). Jan. 24NWC Player of the Week: Liz Clark (George Fox, Sr., W, Elbe, Wash.)
led the Bruins to a 3-0 week and a share of first place by contributing
33 points, 26 rebounds, 13 assists and 12 steals. Jan. 17NWC Player of the Week: Kezia Long (PLU, So., P, Federal Way,
Wash.) led the Lutes to solo possession of first place in the NWC standings
by scoring 28 points and grabbing 23 rebounds in two key weekend wins.
She added four blocked shots. Jan. 10NWC Player of the Week: Vanessa Wyffels (Willamette, Jr., P, Portland,
Ore.) scored 39 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and dished 11 assists in two
games, including an upset of 4th-ranked UPS. She made 78% of her shots
and 81% of her free throws. Jan. 4NWC Player of the Week: Kim Leith (George Fox, Jr., W, Sherwood,
Ore.) scored 70 points in three games over the holidays, making 54% of
her shots from the field and 60% (12/20) from three point range. She added
15 rebounds, eight steals and five assists. She did not play in the Bruins
only loss during the span. Dec. 14 NWC Player of the Week: Tiffany Speer (Whitworth, Sr., F, Snohomish,
Wash.) was named the MVP of the EOU Aramark Classic after leading the
Pirates to a pair of victories. She scored 52 points by making 52% from
the field and 89% from the line. She added 14 rebounds, six assists and
two steals. Dec. 6NWC Player of the Week: Lizzy Washburn (Whitman, Jr., F, Mundelein,
Ill.) was the MVP of the Bon Appetit Classic after leading the Missionaries
to a pair of wins. She scored 34 points (shooting 81% from the field and
sinking 8/8 free throws) and grabbed 18 rebounds. She added 7 steals,
6 assists and 2 blocks. Nov. 29NWC Player of the Week: Tiffany Speer (Whitworth, Sr., F, Snohomish,
Wash.) was named the MVP of the Fred Raizk Memorial Tournament hosted
by defending NCAA Division III champion Wilmington (Ohio) after leading
the Pirates to the tournament title by scoring 42 points and grabbing
16 rebounds. She also added five steals and four assists. Nov. 22NWC Player of the Week: DeeDee Arnall (Pacific, Jr., F, Warrenton,
Ore.) scored 59 points (shooting 59% from the floor) and grabbed 26 rebounds
in a pair of games in California. She added five assists and three steals. |
