NWC Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week (Pitcher) for April 23 - 29

Jared Van Hoon
Pacific, Senior
Lake Oswego, Ore./Coll. of the Desert
Van Hoon put together a pair of clutch relief pitching performances to help Pacific win their first NWC pennant since 1979. He entered Saturday's second game in the 5th inning and proceeded to allow PLU just two hits and a walk to earn the win in his longest outing of his college career of five innings. He came back on Sunday to earn his fourth save of the season, not allowing a hit while striking out two to help the Boxers clinch the title. Van Hoon is now 3-0 and lowered his earned run average to 0.63.

Honorable Mention:
Carson Blumenthal (Whitworth, Fr. – Spokane, Wash./Mt. Spokane)
Trevor Lubking (Pacific Lutheran, Fr. – Buckley, Wash./White River)
