Linfield 7-4, at Whitman 2-1

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – In a pair of high-stakes games Saturday at Borleske Stadium, the Linfield Wildcats took care of business against host Whitman, downing the Blues 7-2 and 4-1 to capture the NWC regular-season title outright and host duties for the NWC Tournament Apr. 21-23.

at Willamette 4-7, Lewis & Clark 3-3

SALEM, Ore. – A sacrifice fly by Perry Van Eckhardt in the last of the ninth sent Willamette past Lewis & Clark 4-3 in the first game of a twinbill Saturday, then the Bearcats nailed down second place in the NWC with a second-game 7-3 win over the Pioneers as Troy Conway smashed a three-run homer.

at Whitworth 11, Pacific (Ore.) 4

SPOKANE, Wash. – Ryan Bird, Joel Condreay and Tyler Bailey provided the offense necessary to power Whitworth to an 11-4 win over visiting Pacific Saturday at Merkel Field, giving the Pirates a sweep of the series with the Boxers and earning them the fourth and final NWC Tournament spot.

at George Fox 6, Puget Sound 3

NEWBERG, Ore. – Matt Voelzke hit a three-run double to break a tie in the eighth and then earned the save as George Fox completed a series sweep of Puget Sound with a 6-3 win Saturday, tying for fourth in the NWC, but the Bruins lost out to Whitworth on a tiebreaker for the final NWC playoff spot.

at Pacific Lutheran 3, California Lutheran 2

PARKLAND, Wash. – Landon Packard went 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run and all three RBIs to back 7.1 solid innings by Cole Johnson as the host Pacific Lutheran Lutes completed a three-game series sweep of the 12th-ranked California Lutheran Kingsmen Saturday.


at George Fox 13-3, Puget Sound 2-2

NEWBERG, Ore. – Dustin Wells threw a complete game while his offense backed him with 15 hits in the opener, and Matt Voelzke fanned four in two innings to save the nightcap as the George Fox Bruins swept the Puget Sound Loggers 13-2 and 3-2 Friday to keep their NWC playoff hopes alive.

at Whitworth 12-7, Pacific (Ore.) 5-3

SPOKANE, Wash. – Tyler Bailey went 4-8 and drove in a pair of runs in each game while Matthew Nelson hit his 11th home run of the year as the Whitworth Pirates stayed alive in the chase for the NWC playoffs by sweeping the visiting Pacific Boxers 12-5 and 7-3 on Friday at Merkel Field.

SALEM, Ore. - Mason Fessler blasted a two-run homer in the eighth inning and connected for a game-winning sacrifice fly in the ninth inning as the host Willamette Bearcats rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Lewis & Clark Pioneers 4-3 on Friday at John Lewis Field.

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Cameron Fox hit a grand slam as Linfield posted a 12-3 victory over host Whitman Friday at Borleske Stadium, moving within one win of a share of the NWC crown while the Blues' lead for the last playoff spot slipped to a half-game over Whitworth and George Fox.

at Pacific Lutheran 11-5, California Lutheran 5-3

TACOMA, Wash. – The Pacific Lutheran Lutes dethroned the 12th-ranked California Lutheran Kingsmen 11-4 and 5-3 at PLU Field Friday afternoon, rallying for 10 runs in the eighth inning of the opener and then taking the nightcap despite being out-hit 11 to 6.


California Lutheran 9, at Puget Sound 4

TACOMA, Wash. – Cal Muramaru went 2-for-3 and scored two runs for Puget Sound, but the visiting California Lutheran Kingsmen, who are ranked No. 12,  broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the fifth and went on to a 9-4 win over the Loggers on Thursday afternoon.

TACOMA, Wash. – Riley Newman got the win with five innings of shutout relief while striking out six and Cameron Fox led a 12-hit attack with three hits, including a double and a triple, as the NWC-leading Linfield Wildcats defeated the Puget Sound Loggers 5-1 in a makeup game Tuesday.
