NWC Football Officials Selected to Work at Stagg Bowl

For the first time a Northwest Conference crew has been assigned to work the Stagg Bowl Division III National Championship game in Salem, Virginia.
The crew will depart on Thursday for planning meetings and preparation for the game on Saturday. Mike Burton, Supervisor of Football Officials for the NWC, will be traveling with the crew.
"I am proud that a football officiating crew from the Northwest Conference has been selected for this game as we have one of the strongest conferences in the NCAA to officiate in football and the quality of our officials is equal to our teams," said Burton. "We have a strong positive relationship between the officials and the schools, from the NWC commissioner to the athletic directors and coaches and will continue to improve even beyond this high point."
The XXXVII Stagg Bowl will kick-off at 11:03 EST and will be carried live on ESPN2. Mount Union College will play Wisconsin-Whitewater in the championship game for the fifth straight year.
The NWC Stagg Bowl crew includes: Bob Rose, Longview, Wash. (Referee); Paul Collard, Ellensburg, Wash. (Umpire); Eric Crone, Spokane, Wash. (Head Linesman); Larry Staab, Keizer, Ore. (Line Judge); John Morton, Olympia, Wash. (Side Judge); Todd Migchelbrink, Lake Oswego, Ore. (Field Judge); and Mike Baker, Medford, Ore. (Back Judge).
