Inside Linebacker
Wenzel led Willamette with 8 total tackles, recovered a
fumble and had 1 sack for 6 yards lost. His fumble recovery
occurred on a punt return by Southern Oregon late in the second
quarter and gave Willamette the ball at the SOU 45 with 1:34 left
in the half. The Bearcats scored a touchdown three plays later with
0:47 on the clock to take a 17-9 lead into halftime. Wenzel also
had a 24-yard run for a first down on a fake punt in the first
quarter.

Vlasak led the Logger defense with 10 tackles in the 34-23 loss to the Sewanee Tigers. This marks his second consecutive game with double digit tackles. He currently leads the Loggers with 13 tackles per game.
