Fisher racked up 124 yards on punt returns, averaging 15.5 yards per carry, to give the Wildcats great field position against Whitworth. His effort was six yards shy of surpassing Linfield's single-game record of 129 yards, set during the 1995 season. With the 42-38 comeback victory over the Pirates, the fifth-ranked Wildcats clinched at least a share of their third consecutive NWC crown and the program's 35th overall conference title.
