Wash.) accounted for 293 all-purpose yards when he rushed for 187 yards and
two touchdowns, caught a 78-yard scoring pass and returned a pair of kick-offs
for 28 yards.
Honorable Mention: Aaron Binger (PLU, RB) carried nine times for 132 yards and
one touchdown.

Defensive Player of the Week: Ryan Borde (PLU, Sr., LB, Albany, Ore.) finished
with three tackles, two of which were for losses of 11 yards and the other was
a 10-yard sack, and he also recovered a fumble to lead the Lutes past UPS.
Honorable Mention: J.J. Rodriguez (Whitworth, LB) finished with nine tackles
(two for losses of three yards) and returned an interception 26 yards.

Offensive Player of the Week: Greg Reed (Willamette, So., Fl, Suisun City,
Calif.) ran for 194 yards and four touchdowns , including a 78-yard jaunt, on
12 carries to lead the Bearcats past Lewis & Clark.
Honorable Mention: Mike Cooney (Linfield, WR/PR) won the Whitworth game with
a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown with 2:00 to play, and finished with nine
returns for 111 yards and caught three passes for 19 yards; Jason Hill (L&C,
WR) caught ten passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns; Dwayne Tawney (Whitworth,
WR) caught seven passes for 73 yard, one touchdown and also caught a two-point
conversion.

Defensive Player of the Week: Ray Lions (Linfield, So., DB, Portland, Ore.)
led the Wildcat defensive effort with two second half interceptions (for 99
yards) a five-yard sack, a pass deflection and four tackles.
Honorable Mention: Nate Matlock (Willamette, DE) recorded four sacks for 26
yards and another tackle for loss in his total of six tackles; J.J. Rodriguez
(Whitworth, LB) led the Pirates with 15 tackles.

Offensive Player of the Week: Marty Williams (Linfield, Jr., RB, Michigan
City, Ind.) carried 12 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’
win at UPS.
Honorable Mention: Mickey Rosendahl (L&C, RB) rushed for 166 yards on 15 carries;
Aaron Binger (PLU, RB) ran for 84 yards on 14 carries and caught three passes
for 43 yards and a touchdown; Dwayne Tawney (Whitworth, WR) caught six passes
for 64 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Week: Harrison Bertsch (Linfield, So., LB, Rathdrum,
Idaho) totaled six tackles, including an 8-yard sack and two other tackles for
losses of five yards, intercepted a pass and deflected another to lead the Wildcats
to a shutout win at Puget Sound.
Honorable Mention: Mike Mauss (PLU, LB) recorded six total tackles, a sack and
another tackle for a loss of eight yards; Chris Smith (L&C, DB) had three unassisted
tackles and five passes defended; Roger Sherwood (Whitworth, DE) recorded 10
tackles, including one sack and another for loss totaling four yards, and recovered
a fumble.

Offensive Player of the Week: Tyler Matthews (Linfield, So., QB, Ellensburg,
Wash.) led the Wildcats to a record-setting day by completing 20 of 29 passes
for three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Honorable Mention: Aaron Binger (PLU, RB) ran 17 times for 72 yards and one
TD and caught three passes for 109 yards and two more scores; Billy Condon (Whitworth,
RB) carried 24 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns; Jason Hill (L&C, WR)

Player of the Week: Seth Berghoff (PLU, DB, Jr., Toppenish, Wash.) returned
two interceptions for touchdowns and added five tackles to lead the Lutes past
NAIA Southern Oregon.
Honorable Mention: Shane Lyman (Whitworth, DE) recorded four tackles, including
two for losses of 16 yards, and intercpeted a pass in the Pirates’ shutout;
Eric Hillison (Linfield, CB) had an interception, fumble recovery and tackle
in the Wildcats’ win; Nate Enciso (UPS, LB) recorded a game-high 18 tackles,
including one for loss of four yards in a loss; Chris Smith (L&C, DB) finished
with 10 tackles and an interception in the Pioneers’ loss.

rushed seven times for 95 yards and two touchdowns and also caught two passes
for 29 yards and another score.
Honorable Mention: Scott Biglin (Whitworth, QB) totaled 262 yards of offense
by completing 12 of 23 passes for 162 yards and rushing 13 times for 100 yards;
David Russell (Linfield, RB) carried 13 times for 87 yards and a touchdown and
caught a 24-yard score.

Defensive Player of the Week: Casey Lawrence (Whitworth, Sr., LB, Harrah,
Wash.) led the Pirates with eight tackles (six solo), forced a fumble and recovered
a fumble to lead Whitworth over Willamette.
Honorable Mention: Harrison Bertsch (Linfield, LB) finished with nine tackles
(six solo), including two for losses of eight yards, and deflected a pass; Seth
Berghoff (PLU, DB) blocked a FG and returned it 69 yards for a score and also
had two tackles and a pass defended.

Offensive Player of the Week: Tyler Teeple (PLU, Jr., QB, Edmonds, Wash.)
completed 14 of 24 passes for 364 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.
He also ran for a TD in the Lutes’ 48-18 win at EOU.
Honorable Mention: Justin Peterson (Willamette, FB) rushed 18 times for 208
yards and two touchdowns, including a 90-yarder, vs. SOU; Trent Thompson (L&C,
QB) completed 18 of 27 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions
in the Homecoming win over Puget Sound; Tyler Matthews (Linfield, QB) came off
of the bench to complete 5 of 9 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns to
spark the Wildcat comeback.

Defensive Players of the Week: Ike Ellis (Linfield, Sr., CB, Powers, Ore.)
intercepted a pass, recovered a fumble, deflected two passes and had five tackles
to help the Wildcats comeback against Menlo; M.J. Ballinger (Lewis & Clark,
Jr., DB, Gilbert, Ariz.) intercepted two passes and recorded four tackles to
lead the Pioneers past UPS. He made the game-winning interception in the end
zone with nine seconds left.
Honorable Mention: Colin Campbell (Willamette, LB) was credited with a team-high
11 tackles to help hold SOU scoreless in the second half; Jonathon Carlson (PLU,
LB) made a team-high nine tackles in the Lutes’ win.

Offensive Players of the Week: Dwayne Tawney (Whitworth, So., WR, Spokane,
Wash.) caught 17 passes for 191 yards (both career-highs) and two touchdowns,
including the game-winning 28-yard grab with 1:05 to play; Greg Reed (Willamette,
So., FL, Suisun City, Calif.) rushed 15 times for 131 yards and four touchdowns
to lead the Bearcats to a 38-14 win over Chapman.
Honorable Mention: Tyler Teeple (PLU, QB) completed 15 of 30 passes for 178
yards, three touchdowns and one interception and ran for 36 yards on seven carries;
Marty Williams (Linfield, RB) rushed for 140 yards in 35 attempts (both career
highs) and one touchdown.

Defensive Player of the Week: Matt Benjamin (Willamette, Sr., FS, Tillamook,
Ore.) intercepted two passes, returning one 54 yards, and recorded seven tackles,
inlcuding one sack of four yards.
Honorable Mention: Seth Berghoff (PLU, FS) clinched the win over Linfield with
a 96-yard interception return for a TD and recorded four tackles; K.C. McVey
(Whitworth, DB) led the Pirates with 12 stops, including one for loss of four
yards, and deflected one pass; Ray Lions (Linfield, M) finished with a team-high
six tackles and broke up one pass.

Offensive Player of the Week: Trent Thompson (L&C, So., QB, Grants Pass,
Ore.) accounted for 321 yards of total offense while leading the Pioneers to
a win. He threw for 242 yards (18-27-1) and four touchdowns and ran for 79 yards
and another TD.
Honorable Mention: Greg Reed (Willamette, FL) ran for 101 yards on only eight
carries, scoring on a 50-yard touchdown; Scott Biglin (Whitworth, QB) completed
24 of 43 passes for 303 yards and three interceptions; Bret Burton (UPS, QB)
completed 26 of 44 passes for 225 yards and three scores, and ran for 24 yards
on seven carries; Jeremy Force (PLU, SB) caught five passes for 97 yards and
a touchdown.

Defensive Player of the Week: Doug Edmonson (Whitworth, Sr., LB, Alta Loma,
Calif.) keyed Whitworth’s comeback win over PLU by recovering two fumbles, one
of which he returned for a TD, and recording a team-high seven tackles, including
one for loss of two yards.
Honorable Mention: Jonathan Carlson (PLU, DB) finished with a team-high 14 tackles,
including two for losses of two yards; Josh Stillahn (UPS) totaled 11 tackles,
including two for loss of three yards, and one pass defended; Brendan Shanks
(Willamette, DL) recorded six tackles, including a sack of six yards.

Player of the Week: Marty Williams (Linfield, Jr., RB, Michigan City, Ind.)
ran for a career-high 111 yards on 21 carries. He scored two touchdowns in the
Wildcats’ 36-13 win over Whittier.
Honorable Mention: Billy Condon (Whitworth, RB) carried 28 times for a career-high
169 yards and scored one touchdown in the Pirates’ win at Chapman; Justin Peterson
(Willamette, FB) rushed 12 times for 108 yards in the Bearcats’ loss to Central
Washington.

Player of the Week: Mark Scott (Whitworth, Jr., DT, Valley, Wash.) had four
tackles, including one for a loss of six yards, an interception that he returned
five yards to set up a go-ahead touchdown, and a forced fumble that sealed Whitworth’s
win.
Honorable Mention: Colin Campbell (Willamette, LB) finished with 12 total tackles,
including one four a loss of three yards.
