Lake Oswego, Ore.) completed 77% of his passes (25/33) for 372 yards and
five touchdowns without an interception in the NWC championship clinching
win over Willamette. Defensive Player of the Week: Brandon Tom (Linfield, Jr., DE,
Kailua, Hawaii) recorded eight tackles (five solo), including one sack,
as the Wildcats held Willamette to a season-low 174 rushing yards. Special Teams Player of the Week: Kyle Snell (Whitworth, Jr.,
WR, Issaquah, Wash.) returned his only kick off 91 yards for a touchdown
and also ran 37 yards for a first down on a fake punt in a win over PLU. Nov. 8Offensive Player of the Week: Quentin Brock (Willamette, Jr.,
RB, Fresno, Callif.) carried the ball 24 times for 146 yards and three
second half touchdowns in a key win over Whitworth. Defensive Player of the Week: Megdy Khoury (Willamette, Sr., LB,
Elko, Nev.) had 11 tackles, including two sacks and another for loss,
and forced a fumble that led to the go ahead touchdown in a win against
Whitworth. Special Teams Player of the Week: Brandon Hazenberg (Linfield,
Jr., WR/CB, Newberg, Ore.) returned two punts for 75 yards, including
a 54-yarder, in a win at L&C. Nov. 1Offensive Player of the Week: Andy Carlson (UPS, Jr., QB, Boulder,
Colo.) threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 166 yards and
another score in a Logger victory at Colorado College. He was 6 of 8 passing
with one interception. Defensive Player of the Week: Jeff Na (Willamette, Sr., DL, Henderson,
Nev.) had five tackles, including two for loss and a sack on PLUs
last offensive play, and recovered a fumble in the win at PLU. Special Teams Player of the Week: Mike Wennerlind (Lewis &
Clark, Fr., WR, Troutdale, Ore.) had 146 yards in kickoff returns, including
an 86-yard touchdown, in a loss at Whitworth. Oct. 25Offensive Player of the Week: Joel Clark (Whitworth, So., QB,
Spokane, Wash.) completed 23 of 32 passes for 325 yards with two touchdowns
and one interception in the Bucs' OT win at Menlo. He also ran for 48
yards and another score. Defensive Player of the Week: Logan Lord (Willamette, Sr., LB,
Reno, Nev.) led a Bearcat defensive effort that held SOU to 12 second
half yards with a team-high eight tackles in Willamette's victory. Special Teams Player of the Week: Brian McKechnie (PLU, Sr., WR,
Puyallup, Wash.) returned three punts for 74 yards with a long of 44 yards
in the Lutes' win at L&C. Oct. 18Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Jr., QB,
Lake Oswego, Ore.) threw for 460 yards, completing 32 of 53 passes with
four touchdowns and two interceptions in a win over Southern Oregon. It
was his fourth 400 yard game of the season. Defensive Player of the Week: Jeremy Scroggins (Whitworth, Sr.,
LB, Royal City, Wash.) led the Pirates with 12 total tackles (9 solo),
including one for loss, in a win over UPS. Special Teams Player of the Week: Michael Plank (Willamette, So.,
KR, Stockton, Calif.) finished with 153 return yards, setting up three
first quarter touchdowns with a kick off return of 39 yards and punt returns
of 55 and 39 yards, all taken into L&C territory. Oct. 11Offensive Player of the Week: Joel Clark (Whitworth, So., QB,
Spokane, Wash.) finished with 502 yards of total offense at 2nd-ranked
Linfield after completing 19 of 43 passes for a career high 366 yards
(with two touchdowns and one interception) and rushing for a game and
career high 136 yards. Defensive Player of the Week: Brandon Olson (Linfield, Jr., LB,
Wilsonville, Ore.) had 19 total tackles (four solo), including a sack
and three other tackles for loss in the win over Whitworth. His tackle
total is third highest in Linfield history. Special Teams Player of the Week: Brandon Hazenberg (Linfield, Jr., WR/DB/KR, Newberg, Ore.) averaged 11.5 yards on six punt returns and 26 yards on two kick off returns vs. Whitworth. His all-purpose total was 225 yards after 103 receiving yards are added to the total. Oct. 4Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Jr., QB,
Lake Oswego, Ore.) completed 77% of his passes (27/35) for 410 yards and
five touchdowns with one interception in a win at PLU. Defensive Player of the Week: Gerry Swanson (Lewis & Clark,
Jr., FS, West Jordan, Utah) recorded 18 tackles (9 solo, 9 assisted),
forced and fumble and intercepted a pass against Chapman. Special Teams Player of the Week: Cameron Collings (Whitworth,
Jr., PK/P, Spokane, Wash.) kicked a career-best 53-yard field goal and
was 4/4 on PATs in a win over Eastern Oregon. He also punted five times
of a 35.4 yard average. Sept. 27Co-Offensive Players of the Week: Cameron Walton (Willamette,
Jr., QB, Arroyo Grande, Calif.) completed 6/10 passes for 125 yards and
two touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ran for 62 yards on 17 carries,
including a 37-yard touchdown in a win over Menlo. Defensive Player of the Week: Adam Kerns (UPS, So., DB, Newport
Beach, Wash.) intercepted two passes and added four unassisted tackles
in a win over La Verne. Special Teams Player of the Week: Brent Frank (PLU, So., DB, Issaquah, Wash.) returned three kickoffs for 100 yards (33.3 yards per return) in a win over UWRF. Sept. 20Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Jr., QB,
Lake Oswego, Ore.) set single-game school records for passing yards (480),
completions (38), attempts (59) and touchdown passes in the comeback win
at Wis.-Stevens Point. Defensive Player of the Week: Jeremy Scroggins (Whitworth, Sr.,
LB, Royal City, Wash.) had nine total tackles, including three for losses
of four yards, and recovered a fumble in the Pirates win at La Verne. Special Teams Player of the Week: Garrett Wales (Linfield, Jr.,
PK, Bend, Ore.) made a career-long 48 yard field goal and was 5/5 on PATs
at UWSP. Sept. 13Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Jr., QB, Lake
Oswego, Ore.) completed 18 of 27 passes for 363 yards and five touchdowns in
only one half of football. He threw no interceptions in the Wildcats 58-17
win over WOU. Defensive Player of the Week: Josh Ort (Linfield, Jr., DB, Silverton,
Ore.) led the Wildcat defense with nine tackles, a forced fumble and an interception
vs. WOU. Special Teams Player of the Week: Cam Collings (Whitworth, Jr., PK/P,
Spokane, Wash.) scored 10 points in the Pirates win at Redlands, making
his only field goal attempt (29 yards) and all seven of his PATs. He also punted
twice (35 average). |
