NWC Football Players of the WeekNov. 14Offensive Player of the Week: Joel Clark (Whitworth, Jr., QB,
Spokane, Wash. - Mt. Spokane) tied a Pirate single game record with six
touchdown passes. He completed 18 of 27 passes for 264 yards with one
interception. He ran for another 73 yards on 14 carries (337 yards of
total offense). Defensive Player of the Week: Brandon Olson (Linfield, Sr., LB,
Wilsonville, Ore. - Wilsonville) led a Wildcat defense that held Willamette
100 yards under its per game average with 12 tackles, including four for
losses of seven yards. Special Teams Player of the Week: Clint Languemi (Linfield, Jr.,
P, Elk Grove, Calif. - Elk Grove) booted a 43 yard punt in his only attempt. Nov. 7Offensive Player of the Week: Chris Maine (PLU, Jr., QB, Lynnwood,
Wash. - Edmonds-Woodway) totaled 427 yards of total offense in the win
over Menlo. He completed 10 of 17 passes for 347 yards and five touchdowns
without an interception. He also ran five times for 80 yards. Defensive Player of the Week: Tyler Gill (Willamette, So., DB,
Fresno, Calif. - Hoover) intercepted a pass on Whitworths only OT
possession and also forced a second half fumble that led to a TD. He finished
with four solo tackles. Special Teams Player of the Week: Jay Tully (Whitworth, So., DB,
Spokane, Wash. - Mead) returned four kickoffs for 97 yards, two of which
set up Whitworth touchdowns. Oct. 31Offensive Player of the Week: Rory Lee (UPS, Jr., RB, Seabeck,
Wash. - Klahowya) led UPS to its fourth win of the season by rushing for
242 yards on 34 carries. He also scored a touchdown. Defensive Player of the Week: Devin ORourke (Willamette,
So., LB, Eatonville, Wash. - Eastonville) finished with 19 tackles in
the win over PLU, including two for loss, one which went for a safety.
He also made the tackle on fourth down that ended PLUs last drive.
Special Teams Player of the Week: John Dailey (Linfield, Sr.,
K, Portland, Ore. - Jesuit) kicked a field goal, made all five PATs and
averaged 57.4 yards on seven kick offs. Oct. 24Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Sr., QB,
Lake Oswego, Ore. - Lake Oswego) completed 17 of 22 passes for 364 yards
and six touchdowns in less then three quarters of play. He did not throw
an interception. Defensive Player of the Week: Brent Frank (PLU, Jr., DB, Leavenworth,
Wash. - Cascade) intercepted three passes and broke up another in the
win over SOU. He was also in on three tackles. Special Teams Player of the Week: Jordan Marshall (Whitworth,
Fr., DB/K/P, Spokane, Wash. - Mt. Spokane) averaged 39.0 yards on four
punts, and 60.5 yards on eight kick offs. He made five of six PATs. Oct. 17Offensive Player of the Week: Joel Clark (Whitworth, Jr., QB,
Spokane, Wash.- Mt. Spokane) accounted for 439 yards of total offense
and six touchdowns in the win at UPS. He completed 24 of 32 passes for
363 with five touchdowns and no interceptions and ran for 76 with another
touchdown. Defensive Player of the Week: Jay Tully (Whitworth, So., DB, Spokane,
Wash. - Mead) led the Pirate defense with 12 tackles (seven solo). He
intercepted a pass in the endzone and broke up another pass attempt. Special Teams Player of the Week: No nominees Oct. 10Offensive Player of the Week: Casey Allen (Linfield, Sr., WR,
Newport, Ore.-Newport) caught eight passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns
in the Wildcats win at Whitworth. He leads the NWC in receiving
yards and scoring. Defensive Player of the Week: Megdy Khoury (Willamette, Sr., LB,
Elko, Nev.-Elko) led the Bearcats with 11 tackles, including 2.5 for losses
of ten yards. He broke up three passes and also recovered a fumble. Special Teams Player of the Week: Wesley Randall (Willamette,
DB, Los Angeles, Calif.-Cathedral) blocked a pair of punts, including
one that led directly to Willamettes first touchdown. Oct. 3Offensive Player of the Week: Cameron Walton (Willamette, Sr.,
QB, Arroyo Grande, Calif.-Arroyo Grande) led the Bearcats to a win at
UPS by rushing 14 times for 128 yards, including a 58-yard touchdown.
He completed 6/14 passes for 86 yards and another score. Defensive Player of the Week: Brandon Olson (Linfield, Sr., LB,
Wilsonville, Ore.-Wilsonville) led the Wildcats win over PLU with
15 tackles (10 solo), including two for losses of nine yards, a fumble
recovery and a pass breakup. Special Teams Player of the Week: John Dailey (Linfield, Sr.,
K, Portland, Ore.-Jesuit) averaged 59.1 yards on seven kickoffs, including
four touchbacks. Sept. 26Offensive Player of the Week: Scott Moyer (L&C, So., QB, Roseburg,
Ore.-Roseburg) completed 23 of 37 passes for 261 yards with three touchdowns
and one interception in the three point loss to Colorado College. He also
ran 14 times for 32 times and another score. Defensive Player of the Week: Philip Sweet (Willamette, Jr., LB,
Albany, Ore.- West Albany) led Willamettes win over Menlo with a
team-high 14 tackles, including one for loss of two yards. Special Teams Player of the Week: Ian Hooper (L&C, So., K/P,
Gig Harbor, Wash.-Gig Harbor) made both field goal attempts (24, 28) and
all three PAT attempts vs. Colorado College. Sept. 19Offensive Player of the
Week: Michael Allan (Whitworth, Jr., TE, Bellevue, Wash.-Overlake)
caught five passes for 94 yards and three touchdowns. He had TD receptions
of 19, 31 and 28 yards, two of which came on fourth down. Defensive Player of the
Week: Brandon Olson (Linfield, Sr., LB, Wilsonville, Ore.-Wilsonville)
finished with ten tackles, including one for loss of four yards. He also
returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown. Special Teams Player of
the Week: Clinton Moran (Willamette, So., P, Mission Viejo, Calif.)
punted six times for an average of 35.2 yards (long of 41), landing two
inside the 20. Sept. 12Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Elliott (Linfield, Sr., QB,
Lake Oswego, Ore.) completed 25 of 37 for 361 yards with six touchdowns
and no interceptions. He led the Wildcats to scores on their first six
drives at WOU. Defensive Player of the Week: Kurt Van Selus (PLU, Sr., DB) led
the Lutes with 10 tackles, including one for loss. He had one interception
and one fumble recovery vs. CLU. Special Teams Player of the Week: Justin Dougharty (UPS, Fr.,
K, Ridgefield, Wash.) made both of his field goal attempts (22 and 28
yards) and all three of his extra points in the Loggers win at Pomona-Pitzer. |
