Wash. - Mead) finished with a game-high 18 tackles, including one for
loss of 2 yards, to help Whitworth limit Willamette to 274 total yards. Special Teams Player of the Week: Andy Largent (Whitworth, So.,
WR/PK, Spokane, Wash. - WSU/Shadle Park) kicked two field goals, including

a four yard sack and an interception. Special Teams Player of the Week: Scott Birkhofer (Linfield, Jr.,
PK, Boring, Ore. - Portland, Christian) broke his own school record with
a 53 yard field goal and made four of five PAT attempts. Oct. 1Offensive Player of the Week: Chase Reed (PLU, Sr., WR, Orting,
Wash. - Orting) scored four touchdowns to lead the Lutes past UPS. He
ran for 39 yards and three scores, and caught three passes for 91 yards
and another touchdown. Defensive Player of the Week: Andrew Eisentrout (PLU, Sr., DE,
Olympia, Wash. - Olympia) was in on four tackles for loss, including 2.5
sacks for -14 yards, and forced a fumble. He finished with a total of
six tackles. Special Teams Player of the Week: Matt Bicocca (Willamette, Sr.,

goal with four seconds to play and added a 25 yard field goal. He was
3 for 3 on PATs. Sept. 24Offensive Player of the Week: Adam Anderson (Whitworth, So., RB,
Elk, Wash. - Univ. of Idaho) ran for 94 of his 114 yards in the second
half to lead the Pirates back from a 14-3 deficit. His 66 yard TD run
gave the Bucs their first lead. Defensive Player of the Week: Greg Caster (Whitworth, Sr., LB,
Sherwood, Ore. - Sherwood) totaled 17 tackles, including 2.5 for losses
of seven yards, against a Stout offensive line that averaged 302 pounds. Special Teams Player of the Week: James Yamashita (Willamette,
Jr., WR/KR, Walnut Creek, Calif. - Diablo Valley Coll.) returned two kickoffs
for 109, including a second-quarter 89 yard touchdown that pulled the
Bearcats within 20-14. Sept. 17Offensive Player of the Week: Trevor Scharer (Linfield, Sr., QB,
Salem, Ore. - McKay) set a school record with 555 yards of total offense.
He completed 32 of 45 passes for 511 yards with six touchdowns and no
interceptions. Defensive Player of the Week: Marc Grow (Whitworth, Sr., LB, Warden,
Wash. - Warden) was in on six tackles. He returned a fumble ten yards
for a touchdown, intercepted a pass at his own goal line and was part
of a 10-yard sack. Special Teams Player of the Week: Scott Birkhofer (Linfield, Jr., PK, Boring, Ore.) made field goals of 46 and 51 yards, the latter setting a school record for distance, and three of four PAT attempts. Sept. 10Offensive Player of the Week: Brett Gordon (PLU, Sr., QB, Yakima,
