The Lewis & Clark men's basketball team held on to take down
the Whitman Missionaries 88-84 on Friday night in the Pamplin
Sports Center.
Puget Sound 75, Willamette 62
A 13-2 run to open the game helped boost the Puget Sound men's
basketball team to its first conference win of the season –
75-62 over Willamette. Rex Holmes scored a
season-high 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lead the Loggers (6-7,
1-3 NWC) to the home win.
Whitworth 80, Pacific (Ore.) 77
Whitworth held off a second half surge by Pacific University to
pick up an 80-77 Northwest Conference road victory on Friday night
at the Stoller Center.
George Fox 71, Linfield 67 (OT)
Jason Martin came off the bench to score 17 points,
hitting 6-of-8 from the field with 5-of-7 from three-point range
and sparking the George Fox University Bruins to a 71-67 overtime
win over the Linfield College Wildcats in a Northwest Conference
men’s basketball meeting of Yamhill County rivals Friday
night here at Ted Wilson Gym.
