NWC Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for February 13-19

La Cava led No. 29 Whitman to three victories in two days on the East Coast with two of those wins coming against higher ranked teams. Playing No. 1 singles against Mary Washington on its home courts, La Cava saved a set point in the second set to post a straight-set victory and clinch the team victory. He won two of his three matches at No. 1 singles and all three of his matches at No. 2 doubles. He begins the spring season with a No. 7 national ranking in singles.
