Apr. 27

NWC Hitter of the Week: Jewel Koury (Pacific Lutheran, Jr., P/DP, Tumwater, Wash.) hit .500 (6/12) with two home runs, a double, eight runs batted in and four runs scored in a 4-0 week.
Honorable Mention: Patti Stranger (Whitworth, OF) batted .583 (7/12) with five runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 13 attempts in a 4-0 week; Shelly Steinke (Linfield, OF) batted .588 (10/17) with two doubles, six RBI and six runs scored in a 4-1 week; Kim Gainey (Pacific, 1B/DH) was 6/14 with a home run, a double, five RBI and one run in five games.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Candace Howard (Pacific Lutheran, Fr., Puyallup, Wash.) went 2-0 in two starts, including a five-inning no hitter, allowing one run on three hits and seven walks in 13 innings with seven strikeouts.
Honorable Mention: Michelle Morris (Linfield) won two games in three starts, allowing two runs on nine hits and three walks in 17 innings with 14 strikeouts; Jo Sonnett (Whitworth) went 4-0, allowing seven earned runs on 20 hits and six walks in 24 innings with 18 strikeouts; Mandy Batey (Pacific) went 3-1, allowing nine earned runs and striking out 23 batters.

NWC Hitter of the Week: Jenny Ferries (Pacific Lutheran, Sr., SS, Billings, Mont.) went 10/22 with two home runs, a triple, three doubles, 13 runs batted in and five runs scored to lead the Lutes to a 6-0 week.
Honorable Mention: Shelly Steinke (Linfield, OF) hit .538 (7/13) with two doubles, two RBI and four runs scored during a 4-0 weekend; Kim Gainey (Pacific, 1B) went 9/16 with three doubles, six RBI and two runs scored in eight games; Marcie Hagen (Willamette, 3B) was 10/18 with three doubles, five runs scored and four stolen bases in six games.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Candace Howard (Pacific Lutheran, Fr. Puyallup, Wash.) went 4-0, allowing three runs on 14 hits and 10 walks while striking out 20 in 24 innings.
Honorable Mention: Alicia Herman (Linfield) threw a four-hit, complete game shutout of George Fox with three strikeouts; Brittany Dearing (Willamette) went 2-0 in three starts, allowing one run on 11 hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 17.2 innings; Jo Sonnett (Whitworth) went 2-2 in four games, allowing seven runs (one earned) on 15 hits and six walks with 12 strikeouts; Mandy Batey (Pacific) went 2-3 in six games, allowing 13 runs with 33 strikeouts in 33 innings.

NWC Hitter of the Week: Marcie Hagen (Willamette, Jr., 3B, Marysville, Wash.) led the Bearcats to a sweep of UPS by going 5/7 with two doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored.
Honorable Mention: Patti Stranger (Whitworth, OF) hit .429 (6/14) with one RBI, six runs scored and five stolen bases in five attempts; Gretchen Ruecker (PLU) was 3/7 with a double, two RBI and a run scored; Kelsey Herstad (Pacific, SS) was 8/18 in six games, with a triple, a double and two runs scored.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Candace Howard (Pacific Lutheran, Fr. Puyallup, Wash.) threw a complete game, three-hit shutout vs. Linfield, allowing two walks and striking out three batters.
Honorable Mention: Jo Sonnett (Whitworth, RHP) went 3-1 with a 1.46 ERA in 24 innings, striking out 15 and allowing two walks; Teren Edgecomb (Willamette, RHP) picked up a win and save in six innings, allowing one run on three hits with a walk and a strikeout; Mandy Batey (Pacific) went 2-1, allowing eight runs with 26 strikeouts.

NWC Hitter of the Week: Gretchen Ruecker (Pacific Lutheran, Fr., OF, Hillsboro, Ore.) led the Lutes to a 4-0 week by hitting .727 (8/11) with four doubles, 10 runs batted in and six runs scored.
Honorable Mention: Shelly Steinke (Linfield, OF) was 9/17 with a double, triple, three RBI and four runs scored in a 4-0 week; Darcy Hertel (Willamette, C) was 5/10 with a triple, home run, four RBI and three runs scored in three games; Aubri Azzarito (Whitworth, IF) was 5/9 with four runs scored and three RBI in four games; Allison Hennes (Pacific, 2B) went 4/8 in three losses with two RBI and three runs scored.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Jewel Koury (Pacific Lutheran, Jr., Tumwater, Wash) threw a pair of shutouts (12 innings), allowing seven hits and two walks while striking out six batters.
Honorable Mention: Liz Coburn (Linfield) went 2-0, allowing two earned runs, 11 hits and two walks, while striking out four in 12 innings; Jo Sonnett (Whitworth) went 3-1, allowing six earned runs in 21.2 innings; Mandy Batey (Pacific) allowed four runs and 13 hits in two starts, striking out 14 batters.

NWC Hitter of the Week: Sara Shideler (Pacific Lutheran, Jr., 1B, San Jose, Calif.) led the Lutes to an 8-0 week by hitting .500 (10/20) with three doubles, two home runs, one triple, eight RBI and five runs scored.
Honorable Mention: Kim Gainey (Pacific, 1B/DP) hit .333 (4/12) with two doubles, a home run, six RBI and two runs scored; Kelly Johnson (Linfield, C/3B) hit .292 (7/24) in nine games with four doubles and two RBI.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Jewel Koury (Pacific Lutheran, Jr., Tumwater, Wash.) went 4-0 in four starts, with four complete games, three shutouts, 16 strikeouts and nine walks, while allowing four earned runs on 12 hits.
Honorable Mention: Alicia Herman (Linfield) went 2-0 in two starts, with a 0.64 ERA in 14 innings; Mandy Batey (Pacific) went 2-1 in four appearances (two starts), allowing four earned runs on 15 hits, with 21 strikeouts, in 19 innings.

Mar. 24

NWC Hitter of the Week: Cassie Halvorson (George Fox, Fr., OF, Hillsboro, Ore.) went 6/14 at the SunWest Tournament with four runs batted in, two doubles and two runs scored.
Honorable Mention: Robyn Humphreys (UPS, OF/P) went 10/19 in California with one double and five runs scored.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Kelsey Weidkamp (Puget Sound, Jr., Seattle, Wash.) went 3-0 with three complete games in California, allowing one unearned run, 13 hits and three walks, while striking out six batters.
Honorable Mention: Mandy Batey (Pacific) went 1-1 at SunWest, allowing seven runs (three earned) on eight hits in 11 innings, while striking out 16 and walking four.

Mar. 17

NWC Hitter of the Week: Jewel Koury (PLU, Jr., P/DH, Tumwater, Wash.) led the Lutes to three wins in four games by hitting .556 (5/9) with three home runs and a double, driving in 11 runs and scoring six. She was hit by a pitch three times and walked intentionally three times.
Honorable Mention: Haley Boston (Willamette) batted .800 (8/10) in two wins with four doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored; Jennifer Peterson (UPS, CF) went 5/5 in two wins with two RBIs and two runs scored; Aubri Azzarito (Whitworth, SS) went 5/13 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and a run scored in four games; Kelly Johnson (Linfield, C/3B) hit a grand slam and walked in the win over L&C; Sarah Camp (George Fox, OF) went 4/4 in two losses; Kim Hee (Pacific, OF) went 2/7 with three RBIs in two losses.

NWC Pitcher of the Week: Robyn Humphreys (Puget Sound, Fr, Walla Walla, Wash.) threw a one-hit shutout, while striking out two, in her collegiate debut vs. George Fox.
Honorable Mention: Teren Edgecomb (Willamette) went 3-0 in two starts and a relief appearance, allowing three earned runs (1.65 ERA) with three strike outs and two walks in 16.1 innings; Jewel Koury (PLU) went 2-1 with a save, allowing four runs (three earned) in 18.1 innings while striking out 10 and walking six; Alicia Herman (Linfield) allowed four hits and two runs in the five-inning win over L&C; Mandy Batey (Pacific) allowed two runs and four hits in 7.2 innings of relief, striking out 16 batters.
