The Lutes swept Willamette and Linfield on the road and
the statistics speak for themselves for Kaaren Hatlen - .700
batting average, 1.900 slugging percentage. .786 on-base
percentage, 7-for-10, 3 doubles, 3 homers, 6 RBI. She hit a double,
a homer and had two RBI in each game of PLU's two-game sweep of No.
1-ranked and defending national champion Linfield. Hatlen
limited the high-powered Linfield offense to five hits in a
complete game performance in PLU's 6-2 road victory. She struck out
two and walked two. She also pitched on Saturday against Willamette
and was pulled after allowing one earned run on zero hits in one
inning.
