Hawaii) led the Boxers to a pair of wins by collecting 20 kills (.357
hitting percentage) with 41 assists and 30 digs. She posted a triple double
vs. L&C (13k, 23a, 18d). Oct. 25NWC Player of the Week: Linzi Stolsig (George Fox, Jr., OH, Lebanon,
Ore.) led the Bruins to a 3-0 week, hitting .313 with 63 kills (5.25 per
game) and 12 errors in 163 swings. She added 51 digs (4.25 per game) and
nine blocks. Oct. 18NWC Player of the Week: Stephanie Turner (PLU, Jr., OH, Snoqualmie,
Wash.) led the Lutes to a pair of key victories with 32 kills while hitting
.388 in six games (5.33 kills per game). She added seven digs, six blocks
and 2 aces. Oct. 11NWC Player of the Week: Julie Locke (Pacific Lutheran, Sr., OH,
West Linn, Ore.) hit .525 with 34 kills (4.9 per game) and only two errors
in 61 total swings. She added 29 digs and three blocks in two Lute victories. Oct. 4NWC Player of the Week: Kristen Halleck (Willamette, Sr., OH,
Salem, Ore.) finished with 41 kills and 43 digs in two key NWC victories. Sept. 27NWC Player of the Week: Stephanie Turner (PLU, Jr., OH, Snoqualmie,
Wash.) led the Lutes to a pair of wins with 29 kills (4.1 per game), four
aces and six digs. Sept. 20NWC Player of the Week: Lindsey Harksen (Linfield, Jr., OH, Sublimity,
Ore.) led the Wildcats to a pair of victories while hitting .446. The
2003 All-American finished with 46 kills, 42 assists and 10 blocks. Sept. 13NWC Player of the Week: Angie Sammons (Willamette, Jr., OH, Eugene,
Ore.) led the Bearcats with 61 kills (while hitting .391), 17 aces, 28 digs
and 8 blocks while earning All-Tournament honors at Gettysburg, Pa. Sept. 6NWC Player of the Week: Linzi Stolsig (George Fox, Jr., OH, Lebanon,
Ore.) led the Bruins to a 3-1 record at the Whitworth Invitational by recording
71 kills (4.44 per game), 77 digs, eight aces and four blocks. She hit .287
for the invitational and was named to the all-tournament team. |
