wins over UPS and PLU with 33 kills and seven blocks (in seven games).
She hit .342 in the matches. Oct. 24NWC Player of the Week: Linzi Stolsig (George Fox, Sr., OH, Lebanon,
Ore. - Lebanon) hit .323 with 38 kills in two four-game matches, averaging
4.75 kills per game. She added 49 digs, four assists and two blocks. Oct. 17NWC Player of the Week: Julie Marsh (Whitworth, Sr., OH, Cheney,
Wash. - Cheney) led the Pirates to three wins by hitting .419 at the net
with 39 kills. She added 13 digs, four assists and two blocks. Oct. 10NWC Player of the Week: Gina DiMaggio (PLU, So., S, Olympia, Wash.-Tumwater)
led the Lutes to a pair of key road victories. She dished 86 assists (12.3
per game) and added 19 kills, 31 digs and a pair of aces. Oct. 3NWC Player of the Week: Natalie Danielson (Whitworth, Sr., MB,
Kennewick Wash.-CC Spokane) led the Pirates to road victories at UPS and
PLU by hitting .342 with 37 kills. She also led the team with 11 blocks. Sept. 26NWC Player of the Week: Natalie Danielson (Whitworth, Sr., MB,
Kennewick Wash.-CC Spokane) led the Pirates to a pair of 3-0 victories
by hitting .490 with 32 kills, including an 18-kill and .625 effort vs.
Pacific. She added nine blocks. Sept. 19NWC Player of the Week: Lindsay Harksen (Linfield, Sr., RS, Sublimity,
Ore.-Stayton) hit .391 over two matches to keep the Wildcats unbeaten.
She finished with 32 kills, 26 digs, seven aces and five blocks. Sept. 12NWC Player of the Week: Chelsey Gellatly (Linfield, Jr., S, Philomath,
Ore.) led the Wildcats to the title at Trinitys tournament and four
victories by dishing 11.4 assists per game (203 total) in four matches.
She added 21 digs and 5 block assists as Linfield improved to 8-0. Sept. 5NWC Player of the Week:
Lydia Hayes (Whitman, So., OH, Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) hit .330 over
three matches to lead the Missionaries to a 2-1 record at the UPS Invitational,
including a win over defending NWC champion PLU. She finished with 54
kills and 13 digs. |
