Peterson, a point guard and the only player on the team
averaging in double figures in points this season, led the
Missionaries to two more victories and into the post-season
(Whitman has won 13 of 15 games since the start of the calendar
year) by averaging 21 points, five assists and four rebounds. She
finished the regular season averaging 13.8 points and an NWC-best
4.6 assists; her numbers were 14.5 ppg and 5.2 apg in NWC games
only. Over the weekend she became only the seventh woman at Whitman
to score 1,200 career points, and she will finish her career second
on the school's all-time assists ladder with more than 350.
