Seven ties, seven lead changes. The game was close the whole way
but the Puget Sound suffered another heartbreaking loss to
11th-ranked Lewis & Clark. This time it
was a 76-74 loss on the Loggers' home floor.
Pacific (Ore.) 48, Linfield 46
A layup from Tasha Rowland (Fr., Clackamas,
Ore.) glanced off the rim as time expired and Pacific held off
Linfield 48-46 in an intense Northwest Conference matchup Friday
evening in Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Willamette 59, Pacific Lutheran 54
The Willamette University women’s basketball team overcame a
39-30 halftime deficit, storming back in the final 20 minutes to
rally past Northwest Conference foe Pacific Lutheran University,
59-54, on Friday, Feb. 8, at Cone
Fieldhouse.
Whitman 49, George Fox 46 (OT)
The Missioanries outlasted the game Bruins in overtime 49-46, to
improve to 11-3 in conference and 18-4 overall. George Fox falls to
10-3 and 17-5. Mary Madden led the Missionaries with 14
points and 10 rebounds.
