The #10 Lewis & Clark women's basketball team picked up a 78-47
win over the Willamette Bearcats on Saturday night in Northwest
Conference action. Prior to the game the Pios recognized graduating
seniors Kristina
Williams and Sara Villanueva, who
helped the Pioneers move one game closer to the NWC
Tournament.
Pacific (Ore.) 87, Pacific Lutheran
43
Samantha Potter scored 19 points on Saturday night but
Pacific Lutheran came out on the losing end of an 87-43 defeat to
the host Pacific Boxers at Stoller Center.
Whitworth 66, George Fox 59
The Whitworth women's basketball team used a 24-6 run in the last
six minutes and 53 seconds of play to defeat No. 18 George Fox
66-59 on Saturday night in Whitworth Fieldhouse. With the win,
Whitworth (17-6, 10-4 NWC) remained a perfect 10-0 at
home.
Puget Sound 79, Linfield 57
Amanda Forshay scored 15 of her 21 points in the second half
to lead the Puget Sound women's basketball team to a 79-57 win over
visiting Linfield on Saturday. The Loggers (13-10, 7-8 NWC) used a
lengthy run in the second half to build blow open a close game and
cruise to the win.
