One day after clinching the Northwest Conference, the Puget Sound women's soccer team learned it will be heading to San Antonio, Texas for its first round match in the NCAA Tournament. The Loggers will play the hosts of the regional, Trinity.
On Sunday, the Loggers clinched their 11th consecutive NWC title and the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament with a 4-0 win over Pacific. The field of 64 teams was announced this morning at 10:30 a.m.
The Loggers will face Trinity, the top-ranked team in the West Region on Saturday. On the other side of the regional bracket, Chapman will face Hardin-Simmons. The winners of both matches will meet on Sunday. Game times will be announced later in the week.
