Week Long Women's Soccer Recap

Thursday, September 6

Chapman 2, Lewis & Clark 1
The Lewis & Clark Women's soccer team lost their first away game of the season to the Chapman University Panthers, falling 2-1 Thursday night at Wilson Field. 

George Fox 0, Nortwest Chrst. 0 (2OT)
A stout George Fox University defense allowed only five shots in the game and just two on goal to the Northwest Christian University Beacons, but the Bruins' offense could not punch through a needed goal as the teams settled for a 0-0 double-overtime tie in a non-conference women's soccer match Thursday night here at Mike Kelly Field. 

 

Wednesday, September 5

Linfield 6, Warner Pacific 0
Goals by Mallory Nickles, Zoe Langsdorf and Tegan Grunwald complement a fifth career hat trick by Emily Fellows as the Wildcats decimate Warner Pacific 6-0.

 

Tuesday, September 4

Willamette 3, Northwest Chrst. 0
Three Bearcats scored one goal apiece to lead the Willamette University women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Northwest Christian University in a non-conference game on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Willamette evened its record at 1-1 for the season, while Northwest Christian fell to 1-1. 


Monday, September 3

Puget Sound 3, Corban 1
A quick start led to a 3-1 win for the Puget Sound women's soccer team over Corban in its 2012 season opener. Freshman Amalia Acorda-Fey scored twice in her Logger debut to lead the Loggers (1-0) to victory. 

 

Sunday, September 2

Pacific 2, Whittier 0
After holding a tie with Redlands on Friday, Pacific the women's soccer team ended their two-game California trip with a 2-0 victory over Whittier Sunday morning at Graham Field. 

#9 Washington (Mo.) 4, Whitman 0
The Whitman Women squared off with #9 Washington University Sunday, and after a solid first half of play were beaten 4-0. The Missionaries fell to 0-2 on the season as they wrapped up their pre-season trip to Missouri.
