In Saturday's early match, the Loggers (3-0) cruised to a 25-20, 25-17, 26-16 win over No. 19 Southwestern. Jenni Brehove had 40 assists in the three-set match to direct a hot-hitting Logger attack.
Oneonta St. 3, Lewis & Clark 2; Union (Ky.) 3, Lewis & Clark 2
The Lewis & Clark volleyball team dropped two hard fought matches on Saturday in the winners bracket of the Oneonta State Invitational. The Pioneers faced off with the hosts in their first contest falling 3-2 (25-21, 25-27, 9-25, 25-22, 13-16) before taking on Union (Ky.) in the second contest, also falling 3-2 (10-25, 30-28, 26-24, 18-25, 13-16).

Opening the home portion of their 2012 volleyball season against a veteran, talented team of Tigers, the George Fox University Bruins dropped a 3-0 decision (25-15, 25-23, 25-18) to Occidental College, ranked 23rd in the American Volleyball Coaches Association pre-season poll, Saturday afternoon here at the Wheeler Sports Center's Miller Gym.

The Whitworth volleyball team lost both of its games Saturday to wrap up competition at the 2012 Courtyard by Marriott Wittenberg National Invitational.
Pacific Lutheran 3, UC Santa Cruz 0
After sweeping aside UC Santa Cruz early Saturday afternoon, the Pacific Lutheran volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to tournament host Puget Sound and ended up with three wins and one loss at the Puget Sound Premier Tournament.
Pacific 3, Occidental 1
Marie Rewick (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) registered her first collegiate double-double and a pair of veterans came up strong in the hitting department Saturday as Pacific held its own against No. 26 ranked Occidental in a four-set loss, 25-23, 25-15, 24-26, 25-20, in volleyball action at George Fox University's Wheeler Sports Center.
Whitman 3, Albion 0; Whitman 3, John Carroll 1
The Whitman Volleyball Team swept John Carroll University at the Elmhurst Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Whitman took the first three sets, 25-19, 25-13, and 25-16.
