The Whitworth volleyball team defeated Walla Walla in three sets to win the opening game of the Whit Classic on Thursday evening in the Whitworth Fieldhouse.
Lewis & Clark 3, Camosun College 1
The Lewis & Clark volleyball team hit the road for its second tournament of the season, taking on Camosun on day one of the Evergreen State Invitational. The Pioneers started off strong with a 3-1 (25-17, 25-9, 20-25, 25-18) win over the Chargers.
Tuesday, September 4
Concordia (Ore.) 3, Lewis & Clark 0
The Lewis & Clark volleyball team opened home play on Tuesday night, taking on Concordia, with the Cavaliers pulling out wins in three straight sets for the victory.
Northwest Chrst. 4, Willamette 1
Northwest Christian earned 49 kills and 11 service aces, as the Beacons defeated Willamette University, 3-1, in a non-conference volleyball match at the Morse Event Center on Tuesday, Sept. 4. NCU, which competes in the NAIA, won the match, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Northwest Chrst. 3, Linfield 1
One day removed from a stirring upset of a nationally ranked team, the Linfield Wildcats couldn't replicate the same magic in a four-set loss to Northwest Christian University Monday afternoon at Morse Event Center.

Linfield 3, #23 Occidental 2
Fueled by the roars of a raucous, near-capacity crowd at Ted Wilson Gymnasium, Linfield's volleyball team took it to undefeated Occidental, defeating the 23rd-ranked Tigers 25-22, 16-25, 34-32, 15-25, 15-12 Sunday afternoon.
#23 Occidental 3, Willamette 0
Occidental College, ranked #23 in the NCAA Division III Preseason Poll, received a solid battle from Willamette University in the Bearcats' season opener, but the Tigers prevailed, 26-24, 25-21, 25-20, on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Linfield College.
