The Puget Sound volleyball team hit .240 as a team
andJackie Harvey had 19 kills in a 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19
win over Whitman in Friday's Northwest Conference opener. The No.
11 Loggers (6-2, 1-0 NWC) had three players with double digit kills
and four with double digit digs.
Pacific 3, George Fox 2
Alexa Block's (Sr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.)
14 kills led Pacific Friday night as Pacific battled through five
sets to give Kip Yoshimura his first win as
head coach as the Boxers outlasted George Fox, 25-22, 25-21, 14-25,
10-25, 15-11, in Northwest Conference volleyball action at the
Stoller Center.
Linfield 3, Willamette 2
For the third time this season, Linfield outlasted its
opponent in five sets, scoring a victory over rival Willamette in
the Northwest Conference opener for both teams Friday night at Ted
Wilson Gymnasium. The Wildcats snapped a three-match losing streak
against the Bearcats, winning 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 12-25,
15-12.
