Friday's Volleyball Recap

Pacific Lutheran 3, Linfield 0
Linfield came into Friday night's Northwest Conference match like a lion but left like a lamb after 19th-ranked Pacific Lutheran humbled the resurgent Wildcats in three straight sets on the way to a clean sweep at Ted Wilson Gymnasium. 

Pacific 3, Lewis & Clark 0
A pair of 13-kill efforts by Marie Rewick (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) and Alexa Block (Sr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) allowed Pacific to continue their undefeated Northwest Conference run Friday as the Boxers posted a three-set sweep over Lewis & Clark, 25-15, 25-22, 25-19, in volleyball action at the Stoller Center. 

Whitman 3, Willamette 0,
Whitman College edged past Willamette University 27-25 in the first set and the Missionaries went on to defeat the Bearcats in three sets, during a Northwest Conference volleyball match on Friday, Sept. 21. After claiming the first set by the smallest of margins, Whitman won the second set 25-20 and took the third set 25-18. 

Puget Sound 3, George Fox 0
Down by seven late in the first set, the nationally-ranked University of Puget Sound Loggers fought back against a feisty George Fox University team and finally pulled out a 3-0 win (30-28, 25-18, 25-20) over the Bruins in Northwest Conference women's volleyball Friday night here at the Wheeler Sports Center's Miller Gym.
