Saturday's Volleyball Recap

Whitman 3, Pacific Lutheran 2
In front of a raucous crowd at Sherwood Center, the Whitman women's volleyball stormed back from an 0-2 set deficit against conference-leading Pacific Lutheran on Saturday night to hand the Lutes their first conference loss of the season.

Whitworth 3, Puget Sound 2
Junior Jalana White had a game-high 22 kills as the Whitworth volleyball team defeated No. 13 Puget Sound 25-18, 27-25, 23-25, 19-25, 15-7 on Saturday evening in the Whitworth Fieldhouse. The Pirates improve to 7-10 overall, 3-7 in Northwest Conference play, while the Loggers fall to 13-5, 7-3 in conference play. 

 

Linfield 3, Lewis & Clark 1
The Lewis & Clark volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Linfield on Saturday night in Northwest Conference action. The Wildcats picked up a 25-21 win in the first set before the Pioneers evened the contest with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Wildcats then earned wins in the final two sets winning 25-15 and 25-20.  

Willamette 3, Pacific 0
Willamette posted one of the best offensive nights of the season Saturday while Pacific had their worst performance of the Northwest Conference season as the Bearcats charged past the Boxers in three sets, 25-15, 25-17, 25-14, in volleyball action at the Stoller Center.
