Wildcats Jump Ahead, but Texas-Tyler Rallies To Clinch Super Regional

TYLER, Tex. --- The Linfield Wildcats battled Texas-Tyler on the road in the NCAA Super Regional’s three-game series. Linfield jumped ahead to convincingly win the first game of the series, but Texas-Tyler made a comeback to win the next two games to take the NCAA Super Regional.
 
UT-Tyler (43-3) advances to next week's NCAA Finals, which starts Thursday in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Patriots are matched against top-seeded Virginia Wesleyan, the defending national champion in the opening game of the national tournament.
 
Linfield saw its season derailed by UT-Tyler in the Super Regionals for the second time in three years. The Wildcats season end their season with a record of 39-10.
