Wildcats Power Through NCAA Regional

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The Linfield Wildcats swept the NCAA Regional, topping Claremont-M-S 2-1 in their first game, defeating George Fox 9-1 in their second game, and overcoming Claremont-M-S again 2-1 in regional final. This is Linfield’s ninth NCAA regional championship. The George Fox Bruins also competed at the NCAA Regional, but the Bruins were unable to overcome CMS or Linfield, falling to the Athlenas 6-3 in their first game, and 9-1 to the Wildcats. 

The Wildcats (38-8) advance to the best-of-three Super Regionals and will play Seguin Texas Regional champion Texas-Tyler (39-2) starting Friday in Tyler, Texas.

Five Wildcats earned All-Tournament team honors, with two Bruins also receiving tournament honors.
