KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four Northwest Conference men's soccer players picked up All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday, including the Northwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in Pacific Lutheran's Eddie Na and Whitman's Noah Cavanaugh, respectively.
Na (Sr., University Place, Wash.), the 2016 and 2017 NWC Offensive Player of the Year, picked up the second all-region honor of his career by earning second team laurels in 2017. Na scored 16 goals and assisted on a pair of goals for the co-NWC champion Lutes during his senior season.
Cavanaugh (Sr., Seattle, Wash.), the 2017 NWC Defensive Player of the Year, earns his first all-region nod after a standout season for the Blues. Cavanaugh helped the Blues limit opponents to the league's lowest shots on goal percentage during the 2017 campaign. On the offensive end, Cavanaugh netted eight goals and collected two assists.
The Northwet Conference was represented by Pacific Lutheran midfielder Bennett Bugbee (Sr., Bellevue, Wash.) and Willamette midfielder Alan Hernandez (Sr., Salem, Ore.).
