Whitworth's Grady Earns All-America Honorable Mention on Final Day of NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Whitworth's Ryan Grady (Gig Harbor, Wash.) earned All-America honorable mention as Northwest Conference swimmers wrapped up at the 2019 Swimming & Diving Championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday.

 

MEN

After placing 13thin the men's 200-yard backstroke preliminaries with a 2:01.03 time, Grady swam to a 12th place finish in the evening finals with a 2:02.69. Grady earns an All-America honorable mention honor for his performance, joining teammates Eben Schumann and Jamie Siegler. 

Linfield's Noah Cutting (Salem, Ore.) placed 29thin the men's 200-yard backstroke preliminaries with a mark of 1:51.95.

The Whitworth men finished with 11 points to tie for 23rd. Cutting earned one point for the Linfield men, finishing tied for 46thwith Carthage.

 

WOMEN

Pirates sophomore Jamie Siegler (Littleton, Colo.) placed 23rdin the women's 200-yard breaststroke on the final day of competition, touching the wall in 2:23.73.

Siegler earned four points for the Whitworth women, who finished in 45thplace.
